Vietnam is such a stunning country to visit! The people, the food, the scenery, just everything went above and beyond my expectations! I was also lucky enough to participate in a tour run by Oscar (one of the tour leaders at NAMCO). He is truly knowledgeable about the country, always extremely professional and incredibly fun to be around! I couldn't have asked for a better group leader 🙌🏼 It wouldn't have been the same without him. 10/10 would recommend!
Why We're Different
Instead of marketing as many countries as possible and selling you a holiday package from a local agent, we take pride in running and improving the tour ourselves. This means you benefit from unbeatable value and higher standards of accommodation, because we care.
What To Expect
This isn't just a poolside resort or another night out, Namco is an exhilarating journey across Vietnam, with awe-inspiring scenery and exciting activities and excursions to make the most of every day and all a shared experience making memories for life with a group of new friends. It's all about variety, from exploring the hectic city street markets of the capital during the day to rooftop cocktails and clubbing at night, to hiking with breathtaking views in the rural tranquility of Sa Pa.
Your Group
Half of the experience is meeting new people and making friends along the journey. You're all in the same boat and trust us, you'll be far too busy for any nerves.

Nightlife
You don't have to like drinking but where better than in a country where a pint can cost as little as 50p! Order a cocktail to drink at the SkyBar with views over the capital's skyline before heading back to the bustling streets to explore its bars and clubs. In the countryside, stock up on snacks and vodka and while away the late hours playing cards.

Accommodation
While our competition chooses budget hotels, your group will enjoy a selection of hotels, villas, and homestays that offer a unique and personal experience. Often, the host lives onsite and can prepare meals for the group, and breakfast is always included! It's important to relax and socialise, so most places will have a swimming pool or shared space to hang out.

Food
Breakfast is always included, but don't expect milk with cornflakes. Think fresh fruit, omelettes, and soup. You can easily spend £15 for a meal at home, but Vietnam is cheap, so you can save money or treat yourself to three courses. There's curry, but unlike the heavy, rich ones from your local Indian, these are more simple, light, and aromatic, with fresh veg and noodles or rice. It's only natural after a while your body will crave plain western food, and the locals know it, so there are plenty of opportunities for a good pizza or spaghetti bolognese even if you are in the jungle.

Transport
When you arrive at Noi Bai Airport in Ha Noi, a taxi will be waiting for you to take you to the hotel. Transport will be a combination of minivans, buses, coaches, and taxis. Sleeper coaches are a great way to cover the distance between cities affordably and spend more time exploring. Walking the cities is great because you're fully immersed, but should you want to venture further during any free time, then the local version of Uber is very affordable.
Vietnam is a country of low-powered scooters and slow speeds, not fast cars, and it's the most economical (and fun) way to travel. In the countryside, you will be given the choice to try a scooter, and your guide will help you become familiar with driving, but this is at your own risk.

WeatherThe temperature varies by region. Ha Noi has a thick humid heat that will make you sweat the moment you get out of the airport. However, when you travel higher into the mountain valleys in Sa Pa, you'll enjoy a cooler climate, which is perfect for hiking. There are also a few waterfalls that you can visit. In addition, there is often a beach or pool that you can relax in and always an opportunity to drink cold beer.
-
MoneyVietnam is such a great place to go if you need to make your money go further, with most things costing half what you would pay at home. You'll be able to get great food every day and other treats besides for as little as £100 a week, although the final tally will end up being more after desserts, your 20th cocktail, and 100th beer if you're not careful.
-
SafetyYour guide has years of experience and the route is well traveled so you shouldn't worry. The people are reserved and very respectful so you won't have to worry about being pestered for money or deceived. There's quite a culture shock but before long you will be happily exploring the busy streets.
